Garfield Elementary Receives Donation

Garfield Elementary recently received a donation from their PIE partner, Holmes and Yates, for paint to use stencils to create fun ways for them to play on the sidewalk behind the school. The third grade (pictured) loves hopping like frogs at recess on the sensory path.

Grades Kindergarten through 5

Garfield Elementary is located at 600 South 8th Street. In 2007, Garfield Elementary was completely renovated and reopened. Throughout the summer of 2022, Ponca City Public Schools received numerous upgrades to their facilities. Garfield was one of the many schools who received brand new playground equipment for the students to enjoy. These continual improvements have given the school community a sense of pride that is reflected each day in the attitudes and behaviors of the staff, students, and their families. Garfield teachers serve approximately 220 students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The district-wide mascot is the wildcat, and the school colors are blue and red. The school principal is Laura Glowacki who leads the school with the vision of “building a community where students feel safe, loved, and are ready to learn!”
